After the end of First World War in the year 1918, common man was badly encircled with inflationary forces. To overcome this situation our honorable founder Late.Shri. Gunaji Vitthal Mali Guruji gave a lot of thoughts as to how the funds can be made available at cheaper rate of interest in case of need. In 1922 he established “The Kokanasth Tillori Kunbi Parspar Sahakari Pathpedi Ltd.” at Kandewadi, Girgaon Mumbai by collecting a mere 1 rupee as share capital.

The organisation was functional under the name “The Kokanasth Tillori Kunbi Parspar Sahakari Pathpedi Ltd.” till 1972 and it was converted to a cooperative bank titled “The Kunbi Sahakari Bank Ltd; Mumbai”.

As of now the organisation has completed more than 100 years. It is presently having 5 branches in Mumbai viz. Parel, Girgaon, Bhandup, Worli, Kandivali and 1 branch in Pune with total deposits of 142.46 Crores and advances of 70.70 Crores as on 31/03/2024.

The organisation has majority of members from Konkan region.

The bank is grateful to its customers who have kept strong faith and belief.

Under the able guidance of our Chairman CA V. D. Chivilkar and Board Of Directors, the organisation has set the visionary path for bank, staff, customers and shareholders growth.

The bank has adopted the cloud based Core Banking Solution (CBS) technology which is a value added service for customers.

The bank is providing RTGS/NEFT, Locker services, CBS and RuPay Debit ATM cards to the customers as another value added service.
